How it all started
Richy Boost™ began with deep rooted care for environmental protection and a simple observation: West London's vibrant coffee culture has been producing tons of waste daily. I saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between urban consumption and environmental stewardship, turning every double espresso residuum into a resource for growth.
I have always wanted to make a greater impact in the world by caring for the world's nature and reducing overall pollution since i was a kid. The origin of Richy Boost™ dates back to 2005 and 2006 when I was only 7 and 8 years old.
I grew up in a countryside household with its own small farmland and beautifully secluded pond with its all lifeforms in and around it. I would spend days and nights around it all year around throughout all 4 seasons. Especially, right after school. Even my parents could not get me back in the house in late hours because I was either trimming the bushes or trying to help a frog catch a dragon fly! I used to care for the pond's diversity significantly, trying to protect it as much as possible. Observed its life forms all day long. Cleaned it, trimmed it, and reproduced its biodiversity by adding extra plants (water Lilies and Lotus), fish, or trees.

Even though times have changed, and due to personal circumstances, London (West London in particular) is my home now too. However, that has not changed my protection and care for the nature and its environment as such. Till this day, protecting and nurturing the pond and its surrounding nature reservoir has been deeply rooted within me. When looking from a broader spectrum of humanity polluting the environment at the scale of which it is happening now is extremely daunting to me. Therefore, to make a difference in a way I can, I founded Richy Boost™, with a purpose of making the world's nature cleaner and more environment friendly than I found it.

The place I live in now, I consider it as my own reservoir I used to care for when growing up. Initially, I thought that taking care would be through hospitality, but it turned out not to be the case at all. I realised that I was climbing a ‘ladder’ because I was influenced by other people ideas of success, and living my life according to other people needs and priorities. I was trying to live up to some standard vision of what my life should be. Thankfully, that got changed due to deep and careful career evaluation. And that is extremely liberating and powerful!
With the pollution in mind, and a real life experience of seeing cafe business owners' negligence and lack of care towards recycling their waste, especially, used coffee grounds, has always made me disgusted and helpless. Therefore, Richy Boost™ is on a mission to tackle that as much as possible - giving used coffee grounds from independent coffee shops (with an interest of expanding to other hospitality establishments) a second life. By partnering with local independent shops, I ensure that the energy put into brewing your morning cup continues to nourish the earth in sustainable way long after the caffeine has worn off. This is our story of circularity and origin, one shot at a time!
