Why it works: The science of our product

If you have any indoor houseplants or balcony pots, this is a total game-changer. It’s a completely natural, scent-free soil superfood/amender made from upcycled West London coffee grounds.

Nitrogen is the fuel for lush, vibrant green leaves. Synthetic fertilizers wash away with the first watering, leading to nutrient runoff. RichyBoostâ„¢ features a steady, natural nitrogen structural ratio. Because the nutrients are bound within organic matter, soil microbes must slowly break them down, releasing a perfectly metered stream of nitrogen over 4 to 6 weeks. No root burn. No chemical spikes. Just consistent, healthy growth.

Ever wonder why houseplant leaves turn yellow and drop? It is often a cellular (the lack of essential mineral elements) deficiency. RichyBoostâ„¢ is naturally rich in magnesium, the central element required for photosynthesis, and copper, which strengthens plant immunity and stem structure.

What makes us different?

Most commercial fertilizers do one thing: they blast your plants with synthetic chemicals. They feed the plant for a week, but leave the soil depleted, compacted, and dead.

RichyBoost™ is different. It doesn't just feed your plants; it builds a thriving, recharged, and living ecosystem in your soil. RichyBoost™ is a slow-release, nutrient-dense organic superfood that unlocks your plants’ true potential.

Naturally fuelled with Magnesium and Copper

Extra science behind our product

Absorption

Plants cannot eat raw dirt. They rely on beneficial soil bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi (beneficial fungi that form a symbiotic, mutually beneficial relationship with plant roots) to process nutrients. RichyBoostâ„¢ acts as a premium carbon food source for these microbes. By expanding the microbial population, it naturally aerates the soil, improves moisture retention, and boosts your plant's natural resistance to pests and disease.

The greatest trap

Spent coffee grounds are not like regular, chunky compost or bark chips; they are micro-fine particles. If you apply a thick, generous layer (say, 3 or 4 tablespoons) to a small 15cm indoor pot, those tiny particles create a physical barrier. When watered, they compact tightly together, forming a skin on top of the soil that mimics clay. This skin becomes hydrophobic (repels water) and blocks oxygen from penetrating the root zone.

If roots can't breathe as a result, the plant develops root rot, the leaves turn yellow, and it dies. Therefore, a single teaspoon, scratched into the top inch of soil, delivers millions of micro- nutrients without altering the physical structure of the soil.

Cellular Protection: The Lipid and Polyphenol Shield

Plants get stressed just like we do. Dry indoor air, drafty windows, and erratic watering cause cellular damage. RichyBoostâ„¢ naturally contains a dense profile of coffee lipids (essential plant fats) and polyphenols (powerful antioxidants). At the root level, these compounds act as a natural biostimulant, reinforcing the root cell walls. This helps your plants lock in moisture, resist thermal shock from indoor heating, and bounce back if you forget to water them.

Expiry date

Unlike commercial chemical fertilizers that sit in warehouses for years, RichyBoost™ is a fresh, active organic superfood. We put a 12-month best-before date on it because we don't use artificial preservatives—it's pure, natural nutrition for your soil.

  Disclaimer:

The varieties listed above represent our carefully selected Top Choices—plants that naturally crave the rich nitrogen, magnesium, and mild organic acidity provided by RichyBoost™. However, our product's benefits are by no means limited only to these varieties. Gardeners are welcome to apply RichyBoost™ to other plants across their collection, but we strongly advise doing so with caution. Always adhere strictly to the safe limit measures on our application guide, scratch the product lightly into the top inch of soil, and monitor your plant’s response. Avoid heavy use on strict alkaline or desert plants (such as lavender, cacti, lilacs and certain succulents) unless applied in highly diluted ratios. When in doubt, test a small fraction of a teaspoon first!

Richy Coffee Recycling Ltd does not accept or assume any responsibility or liability, in any shape or form, for plant damage, crop failure, property damage, personal injury, or any adverse outcomes resulting from product misuse, over-application, or failure to adhere strictly to the provided application instructions.

Which plants love our product the most?

Based on the physical and chemical properties of RichyBoost™ —specifically its mild acidity, high organic nitrogen profile, and dense magnesium content—the plants that benefit the most are acid-soil-loving plants (acidophiles) and heavy foliage feeders (ornamental houseplants or garden plants cultivated specifically for the beauty of their leaves rather than their flowers).
